Spa Bio

Tait and Sinclair initially met as rival centre forwards on the junior soccer fields of South Canterbury.  Both vied for the coveted Golden Boot award of 1990; Sinclair representing Washdyke FC, while Tait starred for Temuka.

Neck and neck until the final game of the season Sinclair put matters beyond doubt by breaking Tait’s leg in a ferocious sliding tackle in the dying stages of the game.  The tackle ended Tait’s season and forced him to give up a much anticipated cadetship with the Everton Juniors that NZ summer.

To make matters worse Sinclair went on to score the winning goal in the final seconds of the game, snaring the Golden Boot, the captaincy of the National Champion Under-14 South Canterbury squad and a $10 book token.

Sinclair and Tait next met two years later when both enrolled in guitar lessons. After some initial awkwardness they began jamming. With former South Canterbury U-14 goalie Brian Donnelly on drums the unit quickly gelled and the rest they say is history.
